Par4QC You step up to the ball on the tee.....500 yd. Par 5.
You know you can hit your (?) club 125 straight every time. 4 x 125= 500.
Our first hole is what you describe. It’s a tight par 5. Often times it plays 450 from the whites. You need 150 to clear a Brook running across the hole. BUT… YOU DONT HAVE TO CLEAR THE BROOK WITH YOUR TEE SHOT!!!!
I tell people, 9 iron off the tee, something you’re comfortable with for you second shot… maybe a 6 iron or 5 hybrid, then your 3 rd shot will be 100 yards or less to have a birdie putt.
Nobody listens… you hear crack, fuck, then a tree. Then he retees. They look at me and say, “well I’m here to hit driver “. I reply, “ I go out to play well”.
