Yeah, he does an inside takeaway. I donāt think I get anywhere inside as he does. Nor do I get as high in the backswing.
But actually itās a good move if you can swing down from the inside. And not come over the top. You have a better chance of hitting a draw.
The main point I was making is pulling the club back with your trail hand and pushing back down. Pulling down is a death move for me. His hockey slap shot is a perfect analogy.
My natural swing has me taking the club back slightly outside. So just taking it back slightly inside feels way inside to me.
Once again, no need to take the whole bottle of medicine. lol. With most golfers being too steep and outside / in, this can help with that.
I also feel my right hand lift the club up with a combination of radial deviation and extension in the right wrist. Thatās the pull feel going back. Then that right wrist pushes down and under to smack the ball. šļø
