Still wasn’t completely there. I played in another scramble this week and hit it fine …. But not correct.

What’s funny is how the notes i take help. Found one from a few years back…keeping my right foot down and come from the inside. Nothing else, and I remember it was when I had the TM combo set and then just the TW demo 7 iron. Very simple…. That’s all it was. Too funny

backinit Got invited to play October 16 up at The Links at Overlook in Maine. Just not up for it…. I won’t be playing or practicing really so why embarrass myself.

I turn down most invites, just don’t get excited to go anywhere and spend the day playing golf. Can’t be bothered, too long and drawn out.

Typhoon I like that course. It has a crazy green on the 9th I think. I played there last year. Not the toughest course that you will ever see out there, but solid.

Its funny how all the problems really go back to basic things like set up, and a few other basic swing things like keeping you left arm close to you chest. Been hitting it well the last couple times hitting balls. Ready to be put away , started back at the gym, Nice to have it sorted out by the end of the year.

Taking a break from it. Back to the gym for me. Taking a good break from alcohol while I’m at it. A lot of drinking this year plus very little working out. Guess what my golf game has been in the shitter since May. Big shocker I know. Getting my act together and regroup next season

I get this recurring problem with my driver and its always the last thing I notice. I lose my grip with my left hand in transition and I regrip it on the way down. The problem is when I regrip, I close the face and hit nothing but low hooks.

Determined to work on holding on tighter with the last 3 fingers on my left hand. The thing is you can only practice it hitting balls.

Typhoon That's interesting. One of my many faults is to lose control at the top (overswing), regrip and make a horrible swing. Would never expect a guy that shoots under par to do that.

If I got the timing right I could regrip and just kill the ball, but 9/10 times I would NOT get it right and any bad shot could happen. I would take a lesson and try so hard not to do it and even on good shots the pro would just be shaking his head saying "nope still regripping at the top". It would get even worse if I used standard grips instead of midsized or reduced taper.

KCee I don’t do it with the Ping g400 max maybe because the grip is larger. What I usually do it re route the club coming down because my brain knows the face is shut. I just grip the club too loose too because I’ll notice my irons sometimes going left and if I take a look at the clubface after the shot, it’s dead shut

I've gone to midsized on everything, and I'm thinking I need to go up one more size, at least.
It wasn't as long an adjustment as I thought it would be.

Walterjn I have Midsize on my TW irons. The other 2 sets, the Nikes are standard and the Pings are Golf Pride microsuede and although they say midsize, they are the smallest midsize ever.

I’ve just got to really focus on it and bowing my wrist a bit more will help. The “tee drill” is a good drill too. I was hitting some drivers tonite off the first tee and everything was left until i tightened it up. There was one I absolutely crushed… 40 yards ahead of everything else. That’s what I’ve been missing this year.

Walterjn No, thinking I played my last round of the year. Plus, as usual, I can’t have a normal week. Car has to be back early for Nick on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Friday morning I take Spike for an ultrasound.

Last week I laid out my schedule to work and get to the gym. Last week it worked.. but I need everyone else to leave me alone so it works. Hasn’t happened since August.

I’ll try to get by my indoor place to hit.

Typhoon I ended up going out for 9. Course was empty. Temps in the high 50’s. I had an hour or so, was only going to do a few holes so I grabbed a cart. Played 9 in an hour🙄.

Irons were fine.

Well, most sweet spots appear to be high center or slightly to the toe side. So, you have that. Time to test TM’s warranty. 🏌️‍♂️

Did I tell you what I went through on last years warranty claim?🙄🙄🙄

So last year my Stealth Plus 2 cracked. When the Qi10 came out this year I inquired about sending back the S2 for a Qi10. People were getting Qi10’s as replacements, but some were getting Stealth 2 as well. They told me I’d get a Stealth 2. I told them I work for Taylormade… made no difference. So I waited until August and tried again. This time they said I’d get the Qi10 LS. I asked them if I could have either the core or max head ( less money too). They completely ignored my request and sent me the LS. I went to one of our customers and swapped it out there.

I’ll wait again, or just go to one of my customers and swap it out there and let them tell TM tough shit we have him the new model.
