azgreg During Covid I was following some stocks. 1 that caught my eye was Solid Power. They had/have a partnership with Ford Motor Co. and have been working on solid state batteries for them. They started in 2018, but iirc, the partnership is going to end this year. No word of any production model yet, as far I can see. Apparently not an easy task.
But upon further reading, the car companies(Ford, GM) are in no big rush for the solid state as they are investing more into improving the lithium batteries. Toyota & Volkswagen are going the solid state route though.
I better check that stock....🤔.
