KCee but I did like feel/sound better

This club has the 'Pro hit' sound imbedded within😄. If you have ever been to a PGA tourney, you know what that sounds like. Never had another driver with that sound.
And the ball feels like putty, but you know the hit was great. Excellent feedback.
re: the Smoke TD, that is. Not hit the other heads. (yet?)

Par4QC I'm not sure I heard any "pro" hits from us, but it felt great. We just hit the Max version with the sliding weight our pro shop had a demo of. I wanted to try the TD version, but someone else had it out. I did notice I hit a few fairly low on the face and they still went. It was too light (50g shaft) for me to hit well, but I was able to slow down and catch a few. My buddy's M6 is pretty light too so it seemed a good fit for him.

sdandrea1 So he bought it; got $100 off from the pro since it had been demoed. I think he does hit it straighter than his old driver and the draw bias is working for him. He even missed left a few times.

I still outdrove him all weekend though and reminded him that my Rogue ST Max is going for less than half of that on CPO 🤣

Tried a Callaway Rogue ST Max LS on a whim and put a Steadfast Jupiter 1 shaft in it and have hit some of the longest drives in a few years. Love the feel and muted sound as well.

I was shocked that it is way more forgiving than my Ping G430 Max which i dumped

I hit both the AI Smoke irons in both the HL and non HL versions (both 7 irons). Both had a Tensei 75g graphite shaft. Despite the 75g stiff shaft. I could feel the club through the swing just fine. Both were similar distance with non-HL being slightly longer as the non HL is stronger lofted. Neither were really better / longer than my G410 7I w/DG 105s.

That noted, both felt as good and I have a desire to switch to graphite. I’ve got enough stuff to do the Trade In / Trade up to break even so I’m thinking of making the trade / purchase.

I’m wondering if a 5HL & 6HL would blend well with the reg smoke irons in 7-P. The 5/6 HL would need to be ordered 2* strong to match the lofts.

The next question would be the Tensei shaft vs going w/ Steelfibers.

I did find a set in GG that had these shafts. 'Waggle' test showed me the S flex feels better than the Tensei.
I will say I am using Tensei Blue, A flex, in all 3 hybrids and my 3 wd. And love the way they all perform.

Not sure what conclusion to make from all that, but this has been a very strange season for me and my swing.🤔

And I think they are on the soft side.😲🤣

Had I given it all more thought, which I really thought I did, this is the way I would go now. Not really complaining because the HLs are so damn easy to hit. Easy as the G2 set I had. I may order the 6 & 7 also. I'd love to hit an iron where I've been using a hybrid.

If I pull the trigger and if I go with the Steelfibers, I’d go reg whereas I’d go stiff in the tensei.

I have an old set of Adams pro golds that have Steelfiber i95cw stiff in them.

I’ve only hit the i95cw so I don’t know how the 90 or 80 fc’s behave. It’s my understanding that the i95 Steelfibers performance is similar to DG shafts which I’ve been fit to several times.

I should probably refrain then. Unexplained increases in swing speed are an unknown to me. I wish I could explain my constant decrease in speed.......then there's those magic moments where my back swing is perfect and I drop the club right in the slot and airmail the green, feeling nothing but flush contact.

Yes, the i95 Steelfibers are as close to DG steel you can get. Play stiffer than stated flex as well so right on with regular instead of stiff.

A lot of this reminds me fitting women. 2 of them yesterday…. It’s hilarious.

She comes to get fit for irons. She tells me ( goes through the whole bag…🙄) I can hit my 6 but not my 7 so I got another 7 and I can hit that sometimes. I can hit my 8, I chip with my 9 because I can’t chip with my S. I said, “how do you hit the PItching wedge “ ( just because…🙄). She says “what’s that?”. Then says I can hit the driver but it goes as far as my 7 wood. I have a Heaven wood I hit once 180 yards but never hit it good again. I like my 5 hybrid sometimes, I can’t hit my 7 hybrid so I use my 7 wood for second shots”.

Given your fitter experience, any idea what’s the difference between the i95 Steelfibers and the steelfiber fc shafts?

Cwing the i series is the CW or constant weight. Better for higher swing speeds. Tip is stiffer and overall as well. The FC is for Flight Control, flighted tech to get the long irons up. Softer profile all around, better for a smooth or slower swing.

That being said I’ve fit ONE person in 3!years into a set and it’s because they asked.

We don’t offer the 95… seems all our graphite offerings other than 2 MMT shafts are lightweight. My guy at indoor golf had i95cw and I really liked them. But I’m hitting his 7 iron 175-180.

Thank you for that. I have experience with the i95 in stiff as I have them in an old set of Adams pro golds.

What’s your opinion of the tensei iron shaft? The one I hit was 75g with a blue band.

sdandrea1 I'm not getting anything extra from the short clubs...irons, hybrids, than I ever did. But the long clubs, driver, 3, 5, it must be that I can turn better now than the past few years. Have always hit center with them, but no power. I've had a left 'pull' that has also gone away, thus even straighter on all shots with driver. This year I'm not caring if I die on the tee box...swingin' outta my ass...er...shoes.😄If the mesh rips...they'll fix me!!

Me too. I changed my setup. Stopped trying to hit up. I moved the ball back to my left heel and just make a normal swing. As a result I am hitting the middle a lot more often, and the plane is better. I get a few "wow" drives every round. Those are relative, of course! And it doesn't hurt that it's 90+ degrees and the fairways are fast. But still, I can tell the difference.

I have had to loft up, though.

Nothing trumps swing speed center contact. Plenty of guys still out driving me with 20-year old clubs
