Bravopilot Her first shot after the ball found the water out of the bunker needed to be at least 15 feet past the pin. Two-putt from there would have given her a 6.
Obviously a 6 is not a good score, which is likely why she was apparently trying hard not only to hit the green but to get it close and probably also to leave the ball below the hole.
I get that instinct, but if she had carded a 6 rather than a 10 she might have still been able to compete and potentially even win the tournament. She would only have been four over on the round to that point. Instead, she went seven over on a single hole!
