Stu1961 Par4QC That may well be. But, we have to keep in mind he is not the only player out there doing that. Every week there are big names that miss the cut, but we never talk about them; this week was no exception. That's true ... but we are not force fed every single one of their poor form/bad shots on the telecast. We actually see more of Tiger Woods now then when he was great by virtue of his taking so may more shots, 😂.
Par4QC Stu1961 his taking so may more shots, Yes true, but we've never got to witness such poor shots before now!! They used to be unbelievable. Now, it's US out there.😄
johnnydoom Par4QC So, it will be Jack and Tiger forever tied. I thought Jack had 3 more majors than Tiger? I also don’t mind seeing Tiger play. He played at the highest level anyone ever has for a dozen years or so and if he wants to play and the tournament wants him in the field then he should play. No amount of bad play can erase the record. I do wish the TV folks would stop showing every shot when he’s 20 shots off the lead though. I can’t believe fans or even haters really want to watch his struggle while the light should be shining on the contenders.
Walterjn johnnydoom I do wish the TV folks would stop showing every shot when he’s 20 shots off the lead though. ^^^ this exactly!!! When tiger is closer to the cut line than the top 10, he's still getting more airtime than the lower 7 of the top 10. Why?!?! I understand that the top 3 should be getting air time, and that when someone goes on a heater for 5 holes they get air time. Tiger playing like crap get almost as much air time as when he was at the top of his game. Anyone else playing at that level doesn't get that kind of air time, did Michael Block get a lot of airtime? Or was he pretty much ignored? He ended up tied with tiger...
Spuzz Walterjn did Michael Block get a lot of airtime? What about the other PGA Pro that made the cut and is in the mix? Much better story than Block is currently. Jeremy Wells is his name.
backinit So how many of you folks saw the bug crawling across the lens while Nance and Immelman were talking and tried to swipe it off the TV screen like a did..lol
sdandrea1 Par4QC All true, but damn I'm sick of watching him embarrass himself when the cameras are NOT showing quality play. Enough already.
Bravopilot sdandrea1 I'd think differently if he at least was out there talking to the crowds and joking around with them, Understand the competitive face but give it a rest.
sdandrea1 Bravopilot I'd think differently if he at least was out there talking to the crowds and joking around with them, Understand the competitive face but give it a rest. Tigers don't change their stripes. He's always been about himself. He's no ambassador.
rsvman2 sdandrea1 Prolly true. He's a great golf course architect, though. Payne's Valley and Bluejack National are both epic courses. I hope he will design a bunch more.
fatshot Meanwhile....at Valhala......Justin Thomas is 9 under (despite wearing the ugliest pants in the world!), Shane Lowrey (who never does anything when I pick him!) is 12 under, Rory is 4 under today, Justin Rose is 5 under today, just to name a few......But then Scotty is going the other way!!!! All Hell is breaking loose today!!!!!!!
rsvman2 ode Exactly. They show him hit a shlt from behind the trees. Do we get to see his tee shot on the next hole? Of course not. And, as usual, far roo much putting ans not enough full shots.
rsvman2 raggmann54 Probably true. If Bryson plays well and ends up among the top three or four tomorrow, though, or in the lead, they won't have a choice. It would be hard to not show the leader or somebody within a stroke or two.
ode raggmann54 possibly....as well as non-star/needle mover types like Bob Macintyre. PGA event coverage has always sucked. Show the damn golf!
johnnydoom raggmann54 Very likely true. The LIV players don’t have a lot of the heavyweight tour sponsors and I assume that those paying the bills want their product reps and logos on screen as much as possible.
