Anyone try one of these? I picked up a 59 degree wedge for $5 out of the shit club barrel. I never used it in my tournament but I did chip a few on the practice green and threw a handful in the practice bunker. I’m intrigued by this club but unsure if it will make a spot in the bag or not. I’ll take it with me to Idaho this week and give it a shot. Looks like it was one of those clubs they peddled on commercials

Those fat-soled "ALIEN" style wedges have been PapaD-proof for me. Close your eyes and swing. The ball will come out of the sand bunker.

I found one at a thrift store for $5.
64 deg. Got the ball out of the bunker but no control on distance. Ditched after a dozen or so practice shots.

They are a cheat code. My pro was telling me about it, one of his students had one and he tried it. We had one years ago in Lost and Found. I tried it, it was amazing out of sand. Guy in our group tried it the next 2 holes out of bunkers …. Hit pin with one, holed the next one. The spin was amazing. Club is automatic.

They work well. We found one left on the course once and messed around with it. Super easy to use. I should have them in my bag.

I got it for $5 🤣. I hit a few pitch shots and bunker shots. Mines 59 degrees not the super 65 lob wedge. It seems decent. Gonna play around with it for awhile. If it was pretty much automatic from 40- 50 yards I’d leave it in the bag. Looks hard to chunk one. A couple skull shots could be a deal breaker though. I will see how this thing goes

bigshank what you have to remember is to play it square like a mid iron from 170. Don’t get fancy and open it up etc…. Even in the sand…. Square. It works
