I have always needed a lot of driver loft. AoA is pretty level but I must be keeping my hands in front of the ball a little. I’m not a flipper. Currently playing 12 degrees with the ball off my left heel. When I tee the ball higher and off the middle of my foot, I can get upwards AoA and use less loft. But the strike pattern gets a lot bigger, including a lot of low face hits.
My aging swing speed is 83-85.
I’m playing exclusively with seniors. Most of them are playing 9 or 10.5. Some of them really work hard to elevate the ball. We get a lot of roll so low loft doesn’t hurt much. I like having the carry, and it still rolls out.
