Ok, not because I started it, but this is my favorite thread.
I miss this guy sooo much.
He loves me.
This is Onyx. He loves to lay on me so I'm rarely alone.
This is Oreo. She also loves boxes.
Unfortunately, even after 15 years, they don't like each other.
No idea how she got in there without disturbing the pillows.

LBlack14 it's an intense inflammatory reaction that makes the gums swell up and get red and sore. It makes it so they can't eat because of pain. They think it's an auto inflammatory or autoimmune disease.
Unfortunately, it's fairly common in cats. He has already had to have about five of his teeth removed. He has also had to have a prior infusion of stem cells and several shots of steroids. The only good news is that after he gets the stem cells, it cools off and he should be fine for a while, maybe even as long as 9 or 10 months.
We just have to keep an eye on him. When he doesn't eat well, and doesn't play as much, and when his hair starts to thin, we know he needs more treatment. I wish he didn't have it. We are doing the best we can.
