Atlanta did a great job of creating mismatches at every position and spacing for wide open attacks up the lane. And they have more players with the ability to score than the Fever. But more free throws made could have made the game a lot closer at the end - they had opportunities.

The Fever need to feed and develop Timpson now because they will really need her if they are able to make a bid for the playoffs. They need more from Timpson, Hines-Allen, Hull, and Billings - at least two of them in any given game anyway.

Seems they are trying but sometimes she is fighting it...lack of self confidence? She did pass up 2 open shots tonight after CC passes. That said, she really does not have to be a shooter as well as she can play defense/rebound. But when the open op is there, it has to be taken. Hell, the others take them when not open!😄

Billings...still not sure she was a good roster choice. Very inconsistent and she was even hesitant tonight too. Not many minutes, so that was OK.
Lexi is way off this season for some reason. Not sure why she is starting instead of Sophie. I'd prefer to see Lexi and Billings off the bench....start Sophie and Mikayla.

Timpson pretty much is what she is. And a ball handler 18 feet out from the rim is definitely not it. She also got ate up by Reese on defense.

Man , if you're not sure Billings was a bad pick up, especially at $800K I don't know what to say. And they're stuck with her for next year.

Because she can't shoot, and NEVER takes those shots that's why YOU CAN'T GIVE HER THE BALL THERE at those times. The last one was especially egregious because the shot clock was short. CC had to take that shot. That was all on CC as the point guard and knowing your players. I literally screamed at the TV screen when she passed her the ball both times.

You could see that CC was visibly upset with the team last night. Sometimes looked like 3 of them were in a huddle, they were so close together....no one open when they all should have been spread. Not sure wth was going on sometimes, but they looked disconnected for most of the game.
Sophie was open a lot....wide open.🤔

I think the Fever need to roll the dice and bring up Pissott since they have 3 tall players that can't shoot the 3 and one (Dantas) that can't do anything else. They should get rid of Dantas and/or either Timpson/Billings. Great to see Ailyah Boston shooting 3's, but they need her in the post at all times and apparently, they don't think Billings could change places and play center while Aliyah plays power forward.

I think she should get a shot. She doesn't look like a 3-point shooter either, but she averaged 15 ppg in college and if she's even good for half of that she would be the 5th best scorer on the Fever. And I'm pretty sure she's a decent rebounder and defender.

I'm going to agree, believe it or not.

Some players are good, but not when playing on the Fever team. Last season I wondered why they had Howard....much like Billings....good at times, but then has to be sitting due to not playing well. This season with the Lynx, she should be an all-star. Just absolutely killing things with them. And she is an 'old woman🤣'.

They went for 'bigs' when signing. Just got the wrong ones.
They better wake up and see that before the season gets any further or there may be no playoff spot.
The rollercoaster needs greased. Or new wheels.🤔

Me too. Timpson has tremendous athletic ability and can't seem to apply it right. Don't know if it's her or inept coaching, but either way it's not working.

Par4QC. I think they'll make the playoffs but go nowhere. MAYBE a first round win then out. They just don't seem to be a complete team.

johnnydoom Not her, not the coaching, imo. Just the 'system' that has some damn quick players. 'Quick' is not to be confused with 'fast' in this instance. Movements, shot taking. No time for thinking. Sometimes detrimental to games like last night. Seemed to be a lot of confusion as to where some players should be.

Surprised they were even that close at the end of the game. A team of headless chickens, at times.

But, we've seen how stubborn management and coaches have been/are. Not holding my breath for any positive changes from them. If they don't see it needed by now they never will.

She seems to like to experiment when she feels like she can do so but is strangely selective about it. Timpson has been a sparingly used two-year experiment that is finally getting playing time now, but clearly still low on overall game experience. Vanslooten has only logged a few minutes for reasons I can't understand - if nothing else give her a few minutes to play aggressively without worrying about fouls. Hines-Allen looked like she was getting aggressively involved and then seemingly had her minutes cut.

The Billings contract is an albatross around their neck. I don't see a way forward for them. Maybe if they don't resign KM next year, but is there any reason to believe they won't?

What's up, the last 3-4 games, where KM & CC, and even Raven last night, are 'just losing' the ball out of their hands while dribbling? Not batted away, sometimes defenders are 1-2 steps away from them.

Par4QC CC does it because she has her head up looking for open players. Kelsey does it, I think mostly because she's short and it's harder to swing the ball around without hitting something. Also, they have been trying to push the pace lately, which causes them to try and move before the ball is clear sometimes. I really can't tell for sure what is going on lately because they played a couple of read and react style games and then actually seemed to go to some weird hybrid of read and react/motion offense that scored a lot of points but left various players out at times. Much of the first half it seemed like Kelsey was just trying to be a decoy and much of the second half it seemed like CC was the decoy. They are both too good to waste like that except for one called play in a special situation. If they need a rest put Raven or Ty in. Lexi was and has been mostly invisible on offense and she was a reasonably important option the prior two years. Love the way she devours rebounds in critical situations though.
