And yet another thing that fits the description is she has a 44% average, for 2 pt. shots!

Imagine if she could use her right hand to help with shots, or use the left when she just 'throws up' the ball towards the rim from close. But she is totally paralyzed/spazzed😄, when it comes to using the right, as she does, when attempting those.
But....she writes right-handed.(??)

She really could be the best player in the WNBA....if she could find the way to get her head out of her ass......
I watched 1 of their recent games. She had a double/double already locked well before the 4th Q. She also had several assists. So, later in the 4th she started trying to pass off the ball in order to get a triple double!! Instead of taking the shots she had been. And they were getting killed. Again.

She is not a smart girl. If she was, she would be able to see how she can better help the 'team', instead of her own personal stats.

I've never really seen her play all that much, but it seemed like in college she was solid on shots of free throw distance or less. I know this is a different level, but I think the "physicality" encouraged in the W has a lot of players that don't get the special whistle flinching on their shots. In some way, either directly or indirectly, I think she realizes that notoriety and celebrity will make her a lot more money than her basketball salary will in this league.

I see that the Fever scored, and gave up, a lot of points yesterday with crazy field goal percentages. I hope that means that White is willing to let them run even without Clark now.

Only with certain player set ups. They don't run/gun the whole game, and they probably should. Kelsey was so off last night that Aari took over, and Kelsey quit hogging/forcing and had some assists. Really good overall play by everyone. 5 in double figures and another 2 very close.
16 TOs but they had 10 in the 1st half, 6 in 2nd, which made the diff for them being able to keep an edge the 2nd half.
Hoping they can find a roster spot to bring Bibby in full time. (Turner?? they don't play her much anyway) I think they will do it.

I actually would watch the game tonight, but my son is recovering nicely from sinus surgery and deviated septum repair on Wednesday and has encamped in my chair in front of my TV since. Be a few days before I get the chair and tv back. Just curious to see how they've put up the high scores in 3 out of the last 5 games. Edit to add - just found out I was wrong. ION has an over-the-air channel in Memphis - channel 50. Just checked the kids gaming tv and the antenna is picking up the station well. So I might watch it after all if the wife doesn't try to make me go out for supper.

The Sky/Valkyries game is at the same time and shows being on ION. (Angel is out again, btw)
I have both so I'm sure to be watching the Fever, either upstairs or down.

Valkyries just played last night in D.C., a hard fought win. (Kate Martin was high scorer!👍)

Just checked and it shows ALL games being streamed on ION tonight. 🤔Not sure what that means, unless it's a regional thing. If so, not sure which game you'd get.

Par4QC The local station manager will probably decide to show the Sun or Sky game instead. Mercury and Dream might be a really good game, if for some stupid reason they decide to show something besides the Fever.

Am I the only one who has suspicions that Reese was jealous of CC getting so much publicity for being out that she's faking an injury? Or is that just conspiracy theory nonsense?

I do know she is only 1 tech away from a suspension + fine, having 7 already. Maybe she's staying away from those who piss her off the most.

They cannot win with her, or without her, so makes no diff if she plays or not.
At least she gets to play 'dress up' on the bench. (see: headcase)

Par4QC I'm halfway wondering if both Angel and Caitlin are out for some reason other than injury. It seems silly, but when you see videos of Caitlin doing vertical leaps cheering on the sidelines I can't help but wonder if they have the blue flu for reasons I can't comprehend from the outside. Maybe some kind of unpublicized protest against the league tolerating violent play hoping to stir up some action with the officiating.

johnnydoom Did you see the video of CC kicking a soccer ball pretty hard? Doesn't seem like a good activity for someone with an injured groin.

I did see Angel, that 1st game she was out, on the sidelines. Barely able to stand up, and did not stand up straight, just hunched over with her back. Been there, done that.

What is amazing, but given they probably know nothing about this place, neither have asked here on GB as to what to do. But CC has gotten 2nd-3rd opinions in NY and other places.
I think we are being slighted by the rich & famous. 🤔

I really enjoyed the way the Fever pushed the pace whenever they could in the 3rd qtr. I wasn’t a great fan of the way they largely slowed it down in the 4th, but their half court offense has greatly improved since the last time I watched them many games ago.

jmo of course, but even if it does not look like they miss her scoring/shooting, they do need the better ball handling she does. Even with her TOs.
Yes, it is confusing for the other teams right now though, with 3-4 ball handlers. But they are having a lot of aggregate TOs themselves.
Seemed to be several instances of confusion tonight, most likely why they slowed it down a notch.
Love the way Bibby shoots the 3's. Rafter lobs!

I think she'll love it, because it looks like White is allowing the team to run now. Aari and Sydney were pushing the ball up the floor fast when they could and it was resulting in wide open, easy shots. Even though the Wings were preventing fast break layups, they weren't able to establish a defensive set in time to prevent an open three or open lanes to the basket. When they started walking the ball up the floor in the 4th shots got quite a bit harder, but there was enough motion and attack in their offense anyway that they scored enough to hold on comfortably. Hopefully there won't be any more of those 6 or 8 point 4th quarter collapses. Even Howard was running noticeably harder and got there in time to be the one left with the open lane. Whether it was calculated by White to develop the half court in the 1st half of the season and the speed game in the 2nd half of the season, or whether she decided to adjust to the players instead of making them adjust to her I don't know, but the team and the coach are both looking good right now.

johnnydoom It's going to be hard to beat 'confidence', playing against this team now. I don't watch any NBA, so not sure if it happens there, but I see a lot of the WNBA teams get down on themselves after a couple losses in a row. This team just plain gets mad! And with having more than just 5 really good players, when some teams do not have even 5, they should be very tough the rest of the way. I do like watching them even without CC playing.

Love her shot. Doesn't go for the 3 a whole lot some games, like last night. But also doesn't do layups many times either. Which is probably staying away from injury situations. I did think she was done last night with the knee clip....the same thing that has sent a few to the benches for over a year. Don't think she'd ever come back from another one.
She did 'get some calls' last night....8 FTs to shoot. She gets the calls that CC does not...... 'Landing space'.

One thing I enjoyed was watching Bueckers. She scored 15 in the 1st half when I wasn't able to watch, but in the 2nd half, the Fever were giving her the Caitlin treatment and really ganged up on her and she still played pretty well given that. She did look like she had more favorable treatment by the refs than anyone else on (or off) the floor though. Her team isn't winning and she disappears at time in play, but her talent still makes it fun to watch. I think she needs an aggressive point guard to get the floor moving around her.
