I’m with Lonnie, but for a different reason. I don’t care if the players want more money, but the refs and league leadership really do need to go. Routinely seeing stuff like this with no ejections, suspension, or outright bans is ridiculous.

Sophie got knocked down a couple times last game, against a team that has not been showing this type of play.
Caitlin got hit/knocked down, again by Jacy, that last game where she got hurt.

Griner, Charles, and now Stewart are swinging elbows around the league. Someone is going to lose an eye socket or a jaw. Teeth have already been knocked out, but serious injury is certainly coming for someone. And they are going to let it happen, instead of preventing it.
Have add in A'ja now after this one....seems like it's just getting to be 'no holds barred' via the ref crews.....

On the CC injury......imo.....she needs to be done for the season. Last game, she never got up from her seat the entire game. And was sitting on some sort of special blue pillow. Very subdued. When she did get up after the game, she was limping/dragging the leg almost. Very slow walk.
But did give a ref some grief. 🤣

Looks like Caitlin is done for a while. My guess is til mid August, 7 more games at least. They brought in a replacement. Lots bigger, red head w/freckles. She can play, if given the chance.

Par4QC Oops. I didn’t see that you already posted. I hope Clark stays out for awhile. Saw noises that she was in practice today. Bibby looks like a shooter and may also be a good wide receiver if Caitlin comes back. Half wondering if, at 195 lbs she’s going in to pound back at those pounding on Aliyah. That way the other teams will have to take as much as they give. Or maybe the Liberty running three bigs triggered a thought.

She has to go when CC comes back. Unless someone else goes off injured/unable to play. Then they can extend the 7 day contract.

jmo, but I think there is too much confusion when Aari is in, no matter HER performance. Saw this their last game.
And Mitchell....what a damned ballhog. Will not pass to anyone now. Took 12 driving layups, none with a clear lane, and was able to make just 2!! And only got 1 foul out of the 12, btw. No chance of making the others, and was damn lucky with the 2.

Par4QC I’ve been under the impression that since they only have 11 roster spots filled and that Bonner’s salary is no longer bumping the team salary cap that they could sign another if they want. She may have to leave the hardship contract when Clark comes back, but I think they could sign her on full if they like her and she wants to play for them. Not sure about that though.

johnnydoom They have 1 player, Wallace, that is sitting out the season. I think she is counted, although her contract is suspended for the season.
iirc, hardship players can only be allowed when 2 are off roster, team is under 12 players. Wallace must still count as 'on roster'. I'd have to look it up to be sure.

Well, she did file for a trademark on the term “mebounds”, so at least she’s embracing it. 35% percent of her total in 2024. That’s amazing (as a stat, not performance).

And yet another thing that fits the description is she has a 44% average, for 2 pt. shots!

Imagine if she could use her right hand to help with shots, or use the left when she just 'throws up' the ball towards the rim from close. But she is totally paralyzed/spazzed😄, when it comes to using the right, as she does, when attempting those.
But....she writes right-handed.(??)

She really could be the best player in the WNBA....if she could find the way to get her head out of her ass......
I watched 1 of their recent games. She had a double/double already locked well before the 4th Q. She also had several assists. So, later in the 4th she started trying to pass off the ball in order to get a triple double!! Instead of taking the shots she had been. And they were getting killed. Again.

She is not a smart girl. If she was, she would be able to see how she can better help the 'team', instead of her own personal stats.
