Par4QC Something isn't right with the girl.

Not going to lie, I tend to poo poo that stuff because CC fans online don't seem to be able to admit she can have an off game. And I know people have slumps, but somebody who shoots as good as her shouldn't go 1-23 from three unless something is wrong.
I mean her attempts have way more difficulty than your average 3 pointer but still. Who knows if we'll ever find out.

Oh, I can readily admit things like that. Esp. when the obvious is so....obvious.

If you only look at stats though, which professor hates, you see she is not having any really bad 'off' games. The rebounds are there, the assists are there, the 'normal😆' TOs are there. Low fouls. And really the scoring is there....6, 19, 11, the last 3, which is under average of course. There just are not the 3 pointers everyone expects every game.
Only off in 1 category, so not so sure everyone should be so concerned. I see it going on with other 'stars' in the WNBA also, even in games last night.

I still think she needs things checked though.

Bravopilot Not particularly good looking, but has brought exciting basketball to a league that desperately needed it. There aren't many watching anyway, but I doubt few of those that are are doing so in admiration of the female form. Despite actual attempts, there isn't a lot of sex to sell in that league. Unlike the NBA, many of the players are of a size and physical agility that at least our younger selves could identify with.

I don't know, yesterday especially they played better without her. They'd build a big lead, in comes CC and the Storm closes the gap. They were dominating in the 3rd with her on the bench. I wouldn't have put her in to start the 4th, let them go for awhile.
I'd bet there are so many ego situations going on we'll never know about ,Boston, Sophie and Lexi are definitely pro CC, the rest?

We can, go on FB, it's the coach doesn't know how to use her, She has the eye poke lingering, the players can't catch her phenomenal passes, she has a sinus problem, the quad is still bothering her, the other teams beat her up, and on and on.

Par4QC I don't know, but unless it was caused by harassment from the Fever, I would think the owner might think about filing suits against her and her agent. Probably won't though. I think the waiver may be to clear the way to bring Aari back on board.

One of those is observably true, at least against certain teams. I can't say that I've seen anything abusive in the last three games though. The other is debatable. The coach very likely does know how she needs to play, but doesn't know how to coach the style of offense for it or does not want to. The sinus problem may be true, but it, and the quad are on her if she doesn't take herself out. I would think if she had a sinus problem it would have been sorted out in a week, but it does appear that she may be suffering some physical pain. However, it is hard to distinguish between that and visible frustration, which is all it may be.

I think it is probably safe to say that the eye poke is not lingering.

She's had low scoring games, missing shots in past history. She's missing shots from all over, not just beyond the arc.
Hopefully she's over it back home tomorrow night. But she'll have Plum on her hips all night. So.....🤔 that girl can be a lil brat.

I follow all other games also, not just the Fever. No doubt there are special whistles, for special players around the league. I've never paid close enough attention to the ref crews to see if they come from the same crew every week.
In 1 game, Stewart had 19 FT attempts. She and A'ja get tons of them, #3 & #1 in the league. And every loose ball they go after is just an automatic bonus shot for them....they are always fouled.
Funny thing is that A'ja is #1 in blocks, #2 in rebounds and steals/game, yet is only averaging 2 fouls per game, for this season and for her career.

There's special whistles in the NBA. Problem with the W is they let it get dangerous with no whistle. I'm not a fan of it, but I understand the "star" whistle. Problem for CC is she gets the opposite of that.

I had not seen that yet, and not surprised to see something like this, with the signing of MacDonald. Have been searching the 'net this morning looking for info about what's going on and had already made up my mind she would not play tonight, or play very little.
Something is amiss in Indy, and I do not think she has a legit injury, but has taken herself off. Could be quite awhile🤔.
If Aria has a super game tonight, problems could worsen.

But, if the injury is legit, she should have taken a lesson from watching TW about 'bulking up'.

The other possibility is that she has been hiding this and trying to play through it. She's not been 'hyper' with the crowd, pre-game or during, the past 3 games. Nor has she been on the refs' asses. Low key, physically.

Ended up busy and didn't watch the Fever last night. Looks like I would have been disappointed if I did. Sounds like they lost another game late after leading.

johnnydoom They were just barely hanging on to the lead the whole game, with poor shooting. At the end of 3 they did have an 8 point lead and looked to be cruising. Then, my internet went down. When I finally got it working again, they were down, and looked like the 'slows' had set in. Gave up 35 points in the 4th, lost by 10. The Sparks got really aggressive in the 4th, the Fever could not combat it. Tired???
This was a game that never should have been lost.

Par4QC Ouch. They definitely need to learn how to close out games, or blow the lead up earlier so they don't have to worry so much about the end. Don't know what the answer is when Caitlin is not doing her thing, but they might not even be a playoff team if they don't change something up by the mid-season break. They aren't going to have several weeks off to work on it like they did last year during the Olympics.

Last 3/4 games they have lost big leads in the 4th. It's not dependent on CC playing either, they got a really good team even without her in. They just seem either out of gas in the 4th, or there is a decision to slow down play so as not to give time to the other team to score much. If so, it's backfiring like all hell! L.A. ran all over them in that quarter.
They could have had a much bigger lead what with all the missed shots, esp. by AB. But when a team scores 35 in the 4th on you, it may not have mattered. That's a lot of points in any 1/4 of the WNBA.

This team.....it's getting to be like watching the Bears in football. 😫
