Typhoon I had a G400LST. I don't think I ever hit one more than 10' high and 50 yds. long. And, I just kept trying it. Finally figured there was something wrong, cracked maybe, and had it sent back to Ping. They sent it back and said it was fine and dandy. I took it out again and same results. I have never, ever, had a driver head that acted like that. Traded it off, iirc, to RBG.
I've tried a lot of the low spin driver heads & the only one I'd revisit is the Epic Speed LS. I only had it out 1 round and have always kicked myself for not giving it more of a trial. It was the best of the 3 Epic Speed heads, and I had better distance/trajectory with it than even the Max. Might look for a really nice one this Spring, but next higher loft(I had the 9).
I can't look at any head with a closed face, so I never go with any higher lofts, which are typically closed, even in adjustable heads. I was able to move my Mavrik to +1, but it is a tour spec head with open face.
Plus, I do 'hit up' if you recall. So when I hit a 9, it's higher than the others here that hit their 12......down. 🤣😅
