Got out today for the first time in months. It was maybe 50 and wet, wet, wet. I was actually pretty pleased with the 2 1/2 wood off the tees. Probably the most fairways I've hit in forever. Wasn't as long as my longest with a modern driver obviously, but much more controllable. It probably isn't much better than my normal tee club which is a Nickent 4dx 17 deg. utility wood, but really not worse either. Seemed like I was getting a little of that vertical gear effect or whatever, I would pull a shot to the left but then it would fade back towards the center. I didn't even try to hit it off the deck because of the muddy ground. I think it would be hard for it to beat the Nickent in that regard anyway.
