This is brutal. Fans revolt and change call thru bottle throwing incident. Ugly. Bad call by the zebras effecting the game then screwed up even more by the fans effecting the game. No win situation all turned out in the end GA outplayed TX especially on the road.

scotts33 yeah that was bizarre how they changed the call. Clearly changed after they saw the replay, which they aren't supposed to be able to do. Bad pass interference calls get made/missed all the time. That decision is inviting fans to throw sh1t on the field!

I think it's always best, regardless of the process, that in the end, the officials make the right call. They did in this case. Good for them and the game!

jsippy73 Penn State didn't win this week. They had a bye week!

PSU has a lofty ranking. However, they're soon going to start playing some challenging competition. We'll see how they do when that happens.

professor agreed, likely overrated, BUT there schedule favors them at this point they have Ohio St as the only ranked (currently) opponent. If they play true to form and win all other games they are a lock. Ohio St. is at home. Wisco this weekend, they have been playing better but I don't expect they have enough to beat Penn St, but they are not pushovers as it appeared they would be earlier in the season!

A lock for what? They're going to lose to Ohio State. I hope...
As a Pitt alum and loyal fan, I've been so disgusted with Penn State, their prior coach and Athletic Directors. Irks me to no end that they ended a tradition and rivalry with Pitt, just because of their own greed, wanting a 2 for 1 deal - home to away games.

professor the playoff. 1 loss to Ohio St. and they get in. I by no means am counting on that BUT the schedule is set for them to pull it off!

Dumb on their part to let an in state rivalry go like that. The rivalry and tradition are more important than $, which in the end hurts Pitt more. Not very forward thinking. I suspect they will rehash that if/when Pitt has a resurgence!

ode The rivalry and tradition are more important than $

To the fans but not the schools.

Pitt had a resurgence in 2021 winning the ACC title and finally, they're playing well enough now to be ranked right now. They, Penn State is not willing to bargain in good faith. Sad... the tradition's worth more than the money.

My former family Dr. was a star quarterback for Pitt back in the day.

Penn State 7-0. Was scared there for a bit but they got it rolling in the second half.

jsippy73 a true test for you guys this coming week. Wisco, although they hung tough, are talent depleted on offense.

You're right, though Ohio State looked flat this week.

May have been a whole different outcome if the guys called "receivers" for Wisconsin, actually caught the ball. I felt bad for their QB. They sucked!

professor He did a great job filling in.

He is the grandson of a good friend of mine I’ve known for years. Watched Pribula all through HS and now at PSU. He is very talented- obviously. 👍

professor true, but Locke threw too many rocketballs when he needed more touch/finesse.

jsippy73 yes, if Penn St. steps up this is a year Ohio St. could be beat. I don't think Oregon is great either. As I look at the top 12 now it's wide open, no dominant team. Good year to kick off a real playoff!

Big game ready to start. Over 110,000 there for the whiteout. Happy Valley, Pa.

Nice start for the Nittany Lions

Duke against Miami is unexpectedly competitive. Duke was up 28-17 but now Miami has a four-point lead, near the endmof the third quarter. I don't think Duke really has a chance, but it has been an interesting game so far, and it's a chance to see Heisman hopeful Ward play quarterback. Spoiler alert: he's good.

Big stop on 4th down for the buckeyes. That stupid "walk over" penalty cost Nittany Lions early on

Ohio state ran it down Penn St's throat last 4 min of game.

Disappointed. Especially at the end and at some of the calls.
                        Oh well.

azgreg agree. Not a fan of them but eye test says they deserve their ranking. Still ways to go.

I’m watching the Toilet Bowl - UMass vs Ms. State. It looks like State finally found another team it can beat this year.

jsippy73 apparently there is an emphasis on "walking over" the tackled defender while talking trash. It's odd as these guys talk trash in their sleep and the focus on that seems petty. It would have been 4th and a punt but the penalty is an auto first down. I guess you have to step to the side and talk sh1t😆
