Par4QC Penix stock just dropped several points

He wasn't able to make a lot of the throws last night, but he did, at least, seem to make the right reads. Those blitzes that confused the Alabama QB and receivers, were mostly read by the Washington players. Execution wasn't there, but the Michigan defense was very disruptive. Michigan has a lot more speed in the defensive backfield than I expected. I knew they were very disciplined in executing zone defense, but their man-to-man coverage was also tight against both teams.

Par4QC Penix stock just dropped several points.😉

Good God… Penix is gonna get an NFL GM fired. After last night I wouldn’t take him in the first round. I judge guys on how they do against an NFL style defense… not the Texas shit defense.

Penix looked like Mac Jones. Overthrowing wide open receivers, throwing at their feet. Throwing off his back foot. He had that scared look in his eyes like Jones did.

No… f’ing…. way.

Typhoon Penix is gonna get an NFL GM fired

I tend to agree with Joel Klatt. No question Penix stock dropped, but probably only a few spots. Penix is more Pro ready than McCarthy.

Penix is asked to run a Pro style offense where he reads defenses, drops back and throws 25-35 times a game. McCarthy in contrast is asked only do that 5-10 times. Penix is a natural thrower and very accurate.

Plus Michigans defense is tough usually rushes only 4 and drops back in coverage. Tough for any QB. I have no idea where Penix will go in the draft. But to judge him on one game could be a mistake.

Sneakylong more Pro ready than McCarthy.

Nothing but a mere backup, and even then won't be in the biz long. I see nothing in that kid, other than running a smooth operation that someone else is telling him......when everything around him is going well😉. Nothing special there.

Sneakylong I have no idea where Penix will go in the draft.

I'm one that will be surprised if he goes round 1.

        Par4QC

Sorry you feel that way. lol We shall see. A lot has to do with what team he goes to. Imagine if Brady had gone to Chicago. May never have heard of him. We’re all just speculating.

You still think Williams doesn’t go in the first round? Lol

Sneakylong You still think Williams doesn’t go in the first round?

Hell, he may go #1 with the way these idiots are thinking.
But, it won't be to Chicago.

You need to keep in mind, and the scouts already have it firmly planted in their bosses, Penix has a history of injuries. And he was injured again last night. Plain as the nose on your face, he was in pain the whole last 1/4.

I can't even imagine the team that would take McCarthy.

Par4QC Hell, he may go #1 with the way these idiots are thinking

The consensus is he will go number 1. They can’t all be idiots can they? lol. Williams checks ALL the boxes. Still no guarantee as we know.

McCarthy has shown plenty of QB skill so far in his career. The run game was so strong this year I think the pass offense looked out of rhythm at times. Strong accurate arm, ability to throw on the run or just run. Coachable enough, I think he'd do well at the next level.

            DonM Brady Brady Brady

Brady is the perfect example of no one knows. Look at all the failed QB’s taken before him. Much of it depends on where a player goes. And if they can take advantage of the opportunity.

Most QB’s need time to develop. Even Peyton Manning threw for a ton of interceptions (28) in his first year. And just look a Jordon Love. Up until the last few games he looked like a bust.

Again, all of us are just speculating. Since you enjoy my Brady stories so much. lol I’ll leave you with this nugget. When Brady first introduced himself to Robert Kraft he told Kraft he’d be the best draft pick the Patriots ever made.

            True story.

Sneaky's wife: "What do you want for dinner, dear?"
              Sneaky: "Chicken Ala Brady"

Sneakylong Again, all of us are just speculating.

You might be, but the rest of are not. We have (proven) backgrounds of wireless knowledge that never ceases to amaze outsiders.
We know exactly what we are talking about. And that is not just limited to football.

I always thought I was 'gifted', until I discovered the internet and found myriad others that are out there, with the same cerebral set up.

Brady was a winning powerball ticket. It really says nothing about planning for success. The same team drafted Drew Bledsoe first overall, and he turned out to be pretty ordinary.

Believe it or not, I know I sound abrasive, even though I try not to. So don’t take it personal, just remember I’m online-impaired. 😑

I think Penix could be a similar NFL QB to Goff or Tua. A good passer when well protected but not so much when pressured. But, his injury history obviously makes him a bigger risk to any team that drafts him.

                  Par4QC round 1.

He reminds reminds me of Tua a little. Maybe it's because they are both lefties.....but when he's on he is on.....I just don't think he will last..... breathe on him and he gets hurt. In the right spot though, he could be really good. I mean look at Brock Purdy. He was in the running for MVP until Baltimore. I know it's an oxymoron, but give em some weapons and a decent line. He could be the best pure passer of the top QBs coming out.

Again, that’s the whole point. I thought I typed in English. lol. You never know. Like someone said it’s a crap shoot. Bledsoe went to a Super Bowl. A little better than ordinary. But I digress.

One more time. It’s all speculation. No one knows who will make it and who won’t. Except for Par4QC. Lol

Look at Johnny Manziel. He was a natural born screwball and showed everyone who he was. Sometimes believe someone who shows you who they are. But then again it was the Browns who were fooled.😏

Just goes to show there are some teams that whiff more than others. Some a lot more.

garyt1957 was thinking does he ever say anything football related that doesn't involve Brady

Here ya go. Gotta read carefully. Lol. Although true greatness can’t be overstated.😉
