propman I'd really like to root for the Bears again, before I croak. So, if they should 'adopt' another QB, I do hope he is not some short-assed running back. They have some good ones already.
There will be several really good QBs to choose from in the draft, should they go that route. Just have to 'look' at them.

I am…. Hoping he falls to the Patriots pick. It’s always a crap shoot with QB’s in the draft. But you can’t get to a Super Bowl without a really good one. So I’ll take my chances. Because I don’t think Jones or Zappe is the answer.

Par4QC like all of us on this forum, I'm an arm chair GM. I've been a bears fan my whole life and find it so disheartening they seldom get their total sh*t together. Closest they came, of course, was in mid 80s. It was so frustrating back then to see how often Jimmy Mac was on sidelines due to injury.

propman u guys were good when Lovie was there. Of course GB fans were fine with him getting shit canned as you've sucked since. I don't claim to know what went on their..... and there were some lean years with Lovie, but for the most part you guys fielded a good product, despite the QB position being what it was. We did the same thing with Sherman and McCarthy.......sometimes when the fans turn on you there is no coming back! GB fans complain that with the Favre/Rodgers we only have 2 SB,s......I remind them of how many the Lions, Bears, and Vikings have during that timeframe.....in fact i don't think any of those teams have an appearance🤔

Now if I had to make a decision for the bears, I would get rid of Getsy, keep Fields, get another starting receiver, a center, a stud def end and tackle.
The bears definitely have the draft capital and cap $$ to get the above done.
Question is, will they F*ck it up?🤔

If you go back....they have ben doing that (more or less) since '91. 32 years of hit/miss hiring/drafting. A lot of good players were let go.....a few team record holders to this day...... & a lot of bad choices were made in coaches/coaching. IOW, very bad, piss poor, management/owners!!
And I always thought the IRS cracked down on bad investments/losses for businesses??

Sneakylong I haven't seen any decision yet, but I doubt he declares this year with all the other QB talent ahead of him. He'd be smart to stay put, and try to show some of that Heisman 'talent' he supposedly possesses....see how good he is in the Big10.🤔

Mock drafts show him going to either Bears or NE.

I’d rather the Patriots grab Harrison. QB’s are such a crapshoot like someone said. Harrison is a huge solid pick. Let’s build an offense a little and then look for a QB.

I guess Ray Davis had a change of heart and decided to play today. Just walked in from the grocery store and saw a replay of him popping off a long run for Kentucky in the Gator Bowl. Glad he decided to finish the job with his teammates. 👏
