I've always liked the Maltby irons and have played them many times in the past.
Problem I have had past 6-7 years and why I only play OEM now is valuation on resale. If one is going to keep the Maltby's for 4-5-6 years then it's worth while. However, if you are like me and upgrade every 2 years or so , too much money gets left on the table.
A new set of Maltby heads , 4-pw plus gw with the DG shaft I want and a regular grip is about $880 US$ Or almost $1200 Canadian $. On a resale would be very lucky to even recoup $200-$250.
I bought my t300's 4-pw plus gw for ~ $1000 Canadian$, and just sold a used set of a friend for $800 last week.
I miss the good ol days when I could build a good component set for $200-$250
