agreed, as I'd be in an 1150 GH Tour, but that is a matter of fit! It's still not an apples to apples, which is about the cost for the same/similar components (I would argue the Maxfli heads would be more than the Maltby, but ??)

It's not apples to apples because the DG Mid in the Maxfli is a wholesale made-for-shaft that's a lot cheaper then the $38 retail shaft.

Par4QC a huge plus with OEMs these days is the available no up charge shafts, grips, and free loft/lie/length adjustments! The modern goo filled/hot face~~crap~~.stuff is of no appeal to me. Not to say it won't perform, but I'd rather get a set of KE4 Max or STi2 's. At least I know WTF I am getting. I might have to take it all back if I ever complete the TS1-IM set🙃

I've been philosophical lately. Last time I got like this, I started playing hickory golf. My last round out, I took my Eye 2+ irons along with the old Adams driver, Acer XDS 5w and a few PING Rhapsody hybrids. I honestly couldn't have scored any better with the latest equipment available. It's a good reminder that keeps me from getting crazy and buying brand new stuff.

😄I was in our local component store today, fondling everything in sight. Was talking with the owner and noticed Acer XV GW & SW heads on the rack. Told him how I found a new set of the heads last fall and played them a couple rounds. Then proceeded to tell him I could not play any better with the $850 Cally irons I have.

Won't stop me from buying more $850 irons though.
Nor will it stop me from buying more $60 component heads.
I've also got $14/dozen balls....and $60/dozen balls that perform the same for me.

Key.....is not thinking. About any of it.😄

Well, when a lot like to keep knocking OEM equipment, I figure there's not much of a buying audience for such things. Esp. when priced in the 100's of $$.
