DonM We can talk about it, go to demo days and spend the day like I used to do hitting everything and then posting about each club. That was fun because you could really see the differences.

We can talk about them but especially here, nobody is buying anything new. It’s not exactly THP or WRX.

Guys here that say it doesn’t matter… partially right. A 60 mph swing speed hit on the sweet spot of any driver in the last 10 years will be the same. What you get now are more forgiving faces. Nobody seems to look at the toe and heel hits, only their “good ones”. If they did compare heel and toe hits on old vs. new drivers they would see that equipment matters. Now the whole face is a sweet spot… 10-12 years ago it wasn’t.

I say it doesn't matter TO ME. I'm not saying it doesn't matter to the masses. If I was making 100 mph swing speed, I'd def go get a fitting.

That’s the carbon fiber. And feel comes from sound because the faces aren’t softer.

The only problem I have with his reviews is the fact he uses so many different shafts, even though same flex. And as we all know.....🤔😉

Par4QC So I wish he’d compared it to his standard g430 max. I have a feeling his max goes just as straight and further and he doesn’t want Ping pissed at him for showing it.

All the reviews I see, like I said before, the 10k drivers lose distance. And in Ping world, where the drivers are already straight, what are you gaining??? Anything???

The reason he swings it slower is because of the footprint. If you recall a few years back, G400 LST time, Ping said you get more clubhead speed from the smaller 440cc LST size. They changed the footprint of the standard g430 and made the new 10k slower.

Typhoon I'm wondering also if this head will be the most sky-marked driver head in history!! I think he 'missed' one....at 1 point in a closeup of the face, I see a white tee mark at the crown/face. Where did the ball go??? 😂

You watch enough of his vid reviews, you know how much he hates this driver.
And, he said last year that the 430 was a waste of money/not as good as the 425. I quit with the 410, which was a POS.
G30 SFT is still tops!! Never should have let that go.

Par4QC I hit some indoors with it and didn’t care for the face height or lack of. I’ve seen a few reviews where the g425 out performs the g430 but people complain about the 425 sound🙄

I need to grab a regular flex shaft for my g425 LST and maybe a crazy light LD shaft like the Vizion 50

Could depend what type ball you use. A softer ball doesn’t sound as loud for me anyway. At least not with my Srixon Soft Feels.

The loudest evah was the Cobras from several years back. Sounded like an aluminum baseball bat. Sound and looks never bothered me. I’ve always been the ends justify the means type golfer.

Walterjn Titanium Crown, this year was the first time they used Carbon. Ping is a little behind in the tech dept

sdandrea1 All my drivers go the same distance. Yes. I don't make higher swing speeds.

You must hit consistently on the center of the face. My Ping G driver makes a louder sound and loses some distance if I strike it too far left or right of center. Funny thing is my playing partners sometimes think I "really killed it" because it was louder.

Ping seems to have done something right. Their driver goes straight and far...

Typhoon Going back in time with this post but pretty sure the OG Rapture line used carbon fibre crowns.

Walterjn Ping is known for being forgiving before distance. Most people I think would be better off with a Ping driver than anything else.
