Full replacement 10 years ago. Still perfect. It was a good decision. 👍. I had the traditional replacement, not the reverse.

I was playing golf in 12 weeks. I had surgery in 2013 when I was 61years old. Physical therapy was painful but tolerable. I'm statistically on the fast healing side of the norm. My body doesn't seem to make scar tissue....... probably because I'm always moving. 😏

I wore the joint completely down to an arthritic mass of gnarly, angry bone on bone. Year round competitive swimming from age 8 thru college, after college, volleyball, softball, golf, dirt biking. I'm going to wear out before I rust out.

rsvman2 Sorry to hear this, Landon. It seems like you can't catch a break.

I played/worked hard, when I was able bodied. As my dear, 87 year old Mother says, I just wore myself out. Left it all on the fields/courts. I appreciate it, Doc.

They're saying I won't even be able to drive for 2 months. No athletic movements for 3-4 months and full recovery 6 months to a year. I'm dreading this. I've not dreaded any of my past surgeries.

He did tell me it would be 6 months to a year before I was 100% and allowing athletic movements in 3 months is also consistent. I'd say you're getting about the same story. I was playing golf in 12 weeks, but the FULL recovery is a marathon. I'm sure I drove myself to the physical therapy sessions, but I probably granted myself that permission. The PT is VERY important to the recovery. I wish you the best Landon. 🙏

After injuring my left arm I bought some steering wheel "spinners". I put one on my truck and two on my lawn mower that allowed me to operate my truck and mower one handed.

Podiatrist. Soak it first in warm water. Takes maybe 5 minutes and probably won’t come back.
