Taki27 The only published guidance that I have found suggests lighter weight in the wedges and heavier in the woods. Right now I’ve only tried counter weights in the irons and wedges, and I’m trying the opposite of that guidance. I’m just going by feel.
My thinking is that a wedge with a 65 gram graphite shaft actually has about a 55 gram shaft, and a heavy head. I want to feel more weight in the transition and downswing. I did the rest of these irons and gamer wedges last night, so it’s too soon to know if I am right about that.
It’s not just mental. The swing feels are different. Are they better? That’s the question. So far, the answer has been yes. I’m skeptical because counter weighting has been over hyped a few times, and never catches on. But so far I think I’m onto something.
