Taki27 I bought a Scotty Golo in rough shape. My last renovation attempt went very poorly. I’m thinking I’ll just have the head sandblasted and then paint fill it myself. Does anybody on this forum do any sandblasting? I can’t really find much locally and it probably costs much more than mailing it out to some one here (I also trust people on this forum more.) I’ll pull the head and take off the weights and bottom plate to make it easier. Thanks!
colej Taki27 I can sandblast it for you but it’s gonna be the rough media. I don’t think we have any glass beads.
Taki27 Ok, rough shape was an exaggeration. What I should have said was that the PVD is faded all over and flaking off in spots. The head has some nicks but nothing awful.
LBlack14 Let's see it. I blasted one last winter, turned out fantastic. Haven't done anything with it since, but.....
Typhoon Check out BOS refinishing. You send them the head and for around $100 you basically get the head back in brand new condition. I did it to my TEI3 Newport a few years ago. Well worth it when you look at the time you’ll put in to the project and the results will be nowhere what they do.
mulegolf Typhoon for around $100 you basically get the head back in brand new condition. That's a far cry from $12 shipped for this crowd. 😉
Typhoon mulegolf That's a far cry from $12 shipped for this crowd. 😉 True but if you want it to look like new, it ain’t free. Depends how you want it to look… like you did it or a professional did it.
