Awhile back, I went to CC for a club fitting. You are right, they push the puring and shafts. When it was over, they wanted $1800 for 5-GW.
I passed but took the recommendations with me. Similar to your Srixon (sole) I was fitted for the Cleveland UHF irons with Steelfiber 110 regular flex. I never got that head but did get the Steelfiber 95s.
I hope you hit those sharp looking irons well.

Remember the story of my bud who dropped $5100 at CC. He took all the recommended shaft upgrades and bought driver thru wedges. He still rarely breaks 90 but his take is: "I can afford it, I wanted to do it, and now I'm certain it's me and not my clubs".

He sold his defense contracting company. $5100 is a lot of money, but not to everyone. Even if I had that kind of toy budget, I'd not spend it on golf clubs. Him, it's "meh" money

Have you ever been to Club Champion? Those guys will try to make you feel guilty if you DON'T buy the expensive upgrade unobtainable magic shafts.

Ok, so the irons are finally finished, and I was able to go pick them up today!

Here are a few specifics:

5-iron through A-wedge, Srixon ZX-5 Mkii heads

Shafts are Aerotech Steelfiber i80 cw in regular flex

Grips are Golf Pride CP2 Pro in jumbo

They look and feel amazing. I can't wait to get these babies out on the course.
