After my failed attempt to buy some PXG irons on OfferUp, an ad came up that looked like a price error.

PXG XCOR2 iron set, 5-pw, graphite or steel. $449 with free shipping.

Price it out on PXG.com, $99 per club with $60 shipping. That's $654. Ends up being $230 cheaper on Amazon with tax difference included.

Strangely enough, if you pick any other club combination on Amazon (e.g., 4-pw) the price goes way up to $149 per club (way over PXG price).

Ordered me a set with the Mitsubishi MMT shafts.

I don't think it's a price mistake, they may just be trying to clear out some inventory that has been sitting in Amazon's warehouses for a while to reduce storage costs. Most companies have dynamic pricing algorithms in place for marketplaces like Amazon, and if certain SKUs sit for a while without selling they'll lower the price to move inventory.

I have a bot search program out there that alerts me when those prices hit $12 shipped. It's been quiet so far........

And that's a hell of a deal with the Mitsubishi MMT shafts, if they're indeed the real deal and not a "made for" shaft, because those shafts alone retail for $60/ea x 6 clubs = $360.

Wonder if it’s the same one I’ve got that scans all my kids’ schedules and my wife’s to do lists to alert me when I have 2 hours to play 9 holes. Still no alerts but it’ll be sweet when it happens!

Quick arrival. Clubs look great. And yes, I play my wedges at 41" (not really, in the middle of a reshaft and haven't trimmed to playing length yet).

But man, these clubs are LONG....as in shaft length. The 5 iron is 3/4" longer than the 4 iron I was playing in my Maltby TS2 set. As my height has been shrinking the last few years, I've been playing shorter length clubs. So this is going to seem off.

We will see how it goes. My first round with them will be next week. And instead of my usual sea level courses, I'll be at 3000 ft elevation in the SoCal mountains. I'm planning on the 5 iron going about 280.

You need to buy another set and some tip weights. Pull the grips and shorten to a length that you’re currently playing. 😄😛🤗

I’ve got the 0211DC (prior model) as my SW and love it. If I’m still in the GI range when I get my next (non old Ping) set, these will be hard to beat in both price and performance

My high school daughter just started to take up the game. She is only 5’0 tall and never gonna get taller. She is pretty strong but uses clubs that are essentially Junior length so these would need some serious post production alterations. Are they .370
Or .355? Worth the work?

PXGs are 0.370". You'd just need to pull the grips and shorten, right? The PW is 36.25", the 5i is 38.75". Swingweights are C9 (PW is D0). Taking 2" off would bring SW to maybe D7 or D8 (correction, thanks Jeff, C0-C1)? That might be my only concern, but I guess that would be the same issue for every set unless you specifically find a junior/women's set.
