brownmoose13 Love my Max. I’ve got a regular max on my Ping Sigma G B60 and a Max Tour on my Fat Lady Swings. I dropped 4 putts per round since switching. The way it forces your elbows in really helps keep my stroke more square. I like the feel of the Max Tour better. (Smooth and a little more tacky)

I tried one.....the Edge model.....b/c there was no way I was going to sink $35 into a putting grip for an experiment.
The Edge is the same triangular shape, but just your basic rubber grip. I found one on Ebay for about $10 bucks. I think it does what it claims to do....keeps your elbows in so you can go straighter back and through and rock your shoulders, leaving the wrists out of it. My complaint about the grip I got was that it was very small and I have large hands / long fingers.....felt like I was holding a pencil.

Even though I liked the results I got, I was damned if I was going to pay what they wanted for the "Max" or "Ultimate" models, which are bigger. So I looked around until I found a putter grip that was basically triangular shaped, then
installed it upside-down on my putter. It puts my hands in the same basic position with the thumbs on the sides rather than on top, and I think it has helped my putting.....and for a helluva lot less than $35 bucks!

I have an OG Edge black on a Wishon Smooth #1 putter (plumber's neck) and it puts the players hands in a position more like Corey Pavin putted. On cost, almost all putter grips are out of whack cost wise except the smaller traditional pistol type grips.

Who are they meant for?

I putt ~ 10 finger (no reverse overlap or overlap of any kind.... absolutely Nate the feel of overlapping with the flatstick) with thumbs in a traditional position.....hmmm , wonder if this might be worth a try. Are these at the big box stores, DSG or GG.....would love to try one!

I looked last night, and it seems like they are available ONLY on Garsen's website (www.garsengolf.com) or on
Ebay. Who are they meant for?.....When I use the traditional grip with the thumbs on top my right hand and wrist seem to take over through impact, and I miss putts to the left. For ME, this grip helps take the wrists out of the
stroke, so I'm swinging more with the arms and shoulders.

I decided to try this after reading a book by old-timer Paul Runyan. See pic from his book below. When I first tried it, it felt awkward as hell, but it takes the wrists out of my stroke, and once I've gotten used to it, I've been below 30 putts 2-3 times this season.
