My most memorable shots are usually terrible, not that I hit that many great ones, but I rolled in a 20 footer for par last week that broke about 2 feet.

The most recent was yesterday. Had ~ 180 in and hit my 5 wood to 4 feet. Made birdie on the number 1 handicap hole. Did something similar on that hole last week.

I’ve always said it’s the great shots you hit that resonate the most. Scores come and go. I can clang the ball around the course for a decent score. Great shots are memorable.

I’ll never shoot in the 60’s. But I can hit a great shot here and there that looks like someone who can shoot in the 60’s. Lol

Back in my pseudo long drive days, I cut the corner on a par 5 and drove the ball on the fringe of a 500+ yard hole. Proceeded to get way too amped, bladed the chip into the pin sent it 20ft off the green, which I promptly chipped back in for eagle.. interesting way to do it, but I never make things easy.

    Last round = tie
250 yard 3 wood, downwind from slightly elevated tee, center cut.
Pulled sand wedge through giant tree made of 90% air to 12 feet.

(Putted with gayazz blue ball. Missed birdie putt, of course, due to above mentioned gayazz ball.)

Last round didn't go very well at all. I did hit a beautiful high drawing 8i on #16 par 3 though. Under read the break for the birdie putt of course.

Honestly the best iron shot I've hit in weeks. The yardage was stock 7i, but I was pissed about 3-jacking the last hole for bogey so I went with the 8.

So I missed the part where it mentioned the best shot of your LAST round.

Par 5. My layup ended up about 50 yards short of the green. Hole was placed right behind a bunker with a big grass knob on the back of the bunker. Landed my chip right on top of the knob and it rolled down to 4 feet. Made the birdie. It was a tough chip shot that I pulled off exactly how I was trying.

Not quite the best shot of the round, but three of the best shots of this morning's round came on the last hole - 430 yards, into a very light breeze, played with a solid drive down the middle, short hybrid from 180 yards that was on line all the way and finished 12 feet behind the hole, right-to-left breaking putt that went right in the middle of the hole.

Today's round....there's this 90* dogleg par 5 on the course we played that drives me crazy. If your drive doesn't
make it past the corner of the dogleg, you have to play a wedge or something short just to get around the corner
so you can go at the green.....DUMB design, I know!

Today my drive made it past the corner, so I hit a real solid 7 wood that got a lucky bounce over a mound and
rolled onto the green. Can't remember the last time I had a putt for an eagle!!! Of course, I missed it, but then
        I don't make many 2 putt birdies.....!!!

Mattyv So I missed the part where it mentioned the best shot of your LAST round.

I think that was edited into the post later, because I was also thinking of my best shot 5 years ago when I first saw this thread in the morning,

Yesterday's round 30 yards from green, third shot from under a low hanging leafed tree to a raised green. Hooded. a 58* LW off my back foot and punched it off the raised side of the green that popped up and stopped one foot away and made par.

Short 120 yard par 3. Bladed my tee shot 20 yards past the elevated green, a bit left of the hole, into some thick stuff.

Maltby Sand Slider to 10 feet and buried the putt for par.

HybridWood Short 120 yard par 3. Bladed my tee shot 20 yards past the elevated green, a bit left of the hole, into some thick stuff.

Maltby Sand Slider to 10 feet and buried the putt for par.

              My game in a nutshell.......................🤣

I had two birdies today including one on #18 which gave me a 79. However it was the first birdie that was the shot of the day for me. I had a snakey, downhill right-to-left 25-footer for the bird . . . Nothing but cup! 😁

Mattyv. Yea, I missed that too. So my best would be the 12 foot putt I made on 18 for birdie. #1 handicap hole, but I don't see how
