I spent spring selling off clubs here and on eBay for $30-50 each. Probably netted $1000. Not finished but I am for now.
Anyway, then I look at buying stuff, rationalizing that I've got a thousand bucks to use. Everything I look at is 3 digits, it won't take long to spend a grand.
Bought a driver, with tax and shipping around 200
Bought a broomstick putter, not the $500 LAB Golf that everyone is using, but still 200 with tax
Gonna reshaft my backup STi irons, when I start feeling better. But I have the shafts so that's "free".
Gonna stock up on Acer XDS high loft fairway heads while they are made and in stock. (11, 13, 15 woods) So those and some of those iDrive shafts will knock most of another 200.
(Channeling my inner Alice Cooper with all the woods.)
After that I'll continue to keep an eye on squeezing more out of the driver. It's fine tuning, but I feel there are a few yards to get. We have a couple of holes where carrying a bunker would make a big difference, believe it or not.
Doesn't take much to burn a pile of money.
Truth is, if I can get the irons working to my satisfaction, I could easily play for a year without buying anything else.
Hahahahahaha......... I crack myself up.
