DonM I take no issue with ZJ making him a pick if he thinks he'll help the team. I'm all for horses for courses and someone like BD in a team format could be quite valuable. I'm sure he's on the radar now.....that being said he's down the list, so it would be ne no surprise if he's not on the team. 58 is cool, but in of itself will not lead to a pick. Got to look at the bigger picture!

pellmell Given the fact that the PGA Tour's avg. driving distance is now at 299.+, 96 players are over that, I guess anyone shooting the LOWEST SCORE EVER on tour will mean nothing.

No need for someone in totally poor form. Past history does not matter, that 'was then'; it is current form that should decide.
And his year has been a year of nastyassed form.

Spuzz if JT is on the team over any number of guys it's a travesty. He does not deserve it and his play is garbage at the moment. I don't care if he made the cut and had a few good rounds this past weekend to push the top 70. Other than the 58/win, what has BD done🤔. I dunno as I have not followed LIV. His performance in events where he can gain points hasn't led to much as he is way down the list. That would not be the reason I'd take him but for his bombability and good putting. I have no idea if the course in Rome would suit him🤔

Well, JT, while losing the tournament along with losing out on post season bonanza of cash, did move up 1 notch in WR to #25.
BD could only manage a record tying round of 58, winning a tournament, all the while dropping from #107 to #109.

BD is crap, as a golfer.
Let the record show...........😲

First win was yesterday but he hasn't sucked the last 4 ( T11,2nd, 9th,5th)
For the Ryder, of the current 8 guys after the automatic 6, I would have him ahead of Homa, Bradley, Morikawa, Burns and JT, as well as above the rest (15-25)

DonM it's debatable if any of the LIV guys, less Brooks, deserves it but that is up to the captain to decide. It will be interesting to see what he does for his captains picks. I anticipate he's going mostly chalk but BD has definitely given him something to think about! I am not of the belief it will be a one sided affair. And rest assured Brooks vs. Rory is a likely go for singles😉
