Heard this recently. You can't sign your name 'exactly' the same each time. It may look the same, but it's not. Golf is unlike any other sport in that your swing may feel the same each time, but it's not.
You may not visually detect the difference in your signature and you may not feel the difference in your swing. So much has to go right to hit a good golf shot.
One undetectable thing goes wrong and a bad golf shot happens. There's different degrees of this. Some days the game is easy and you just react with no thinking.
Other days it's a struggle. Most of the time to varying degrees it's a mix of good and bad. It's the same for everyone at all skill levels. You find it, you lose it etc.. Wash, rinse, repeat. Every golfer finds themselves in the lost and found dept..
I've said this ad nauseam. Golf is one epiphany search after another for everyone. The bottom can fall out for any golfer at all levels at anytime.
You have to accept the peaks and valleys of golf. Enjoy the peaks and fight thru the valleys. And learn to embrace the search for the next key that gets you back on track. Knowing that each epiphany is to some degree fleeting.
But there's no better feeling than stumbling on a key that works for you and has you hitting more good shots than bad. Inconsistency is part of golfs DNA. Every golfer has to accept this fact.
