Plus, the USGA decision to limit fans, 80% of tickets were reserved for corporations using larger tents. Not many folks there, Golf Digest commented that LA people don't get up early, too stupid, and clearly do not know @Walterjn
Read the owner of the Denver Nuggets, and other pro teams, rented out the entire clubhouse to watch, I know this is a commercial thing, but seems odd for growing the game USGA.
So far, doesn't seem to penalize much or the 156 players are just that good in 2023. At least decent/good shots are penalized as in the past, but my view is the only bad penalty is misread putt or yardage.😎 Lots more drama at last week's Canadian Open.
