We have some EXCELLENT gas station Fried Chicken places around here.
Gas Station BBQ?
Probably Roadkill...
sdandrea1 Those places are not gas stations first, they happen to offer gas along with the store and chow.
Bravopilot Yeah, we see this turned your entire world upside down
Showed upside down when I posted but now your world is just sideways.
Nice Edit sir.
I posted the pic once and it was upside down. Knowing the wrath of Rickochet would be reigning down upon me I edited itβ¦but it came back upside down again. Then I did it again, turned it sideways and it stayed sideways. Now Iβm sweating like a Mexican on Jeopardy knowing Rickochet could see this at any moment. I deleted it and went at it again and magically it posted the right way
Typhoon Not the reason you were sweating, that was the guardrail chow from Mr Random Guy.

Save the paper. You might need it again if the gas station is out. Remember to get the men's room key from the office. It's the one with the piece of 2 x 4 attached to it.
We just call it "gas station chicken".
Thigs it's okay to eat from a gas station: BBQ, Boiled Peanuts, Hot Dogs, fried chicken
Things it's not okay to eat from a gas station: Sushi
probably the only thing more risk would be drinking from a water fountain at a gas station.
Gas station bbq sounds a hell of a lot better than gas station sushi
pike51 Add "brown stuff on torn off brown paper"
Bravopilot I must be the only one here that grew up poor. Have eaten many things off brown paper** (bags), torn or not.
May have even wiped my arse with it**, if I thought back far enough.
(** not the same piece )
Growing up in Dallas, there was a little convenience/liquor store one street over. I went to school with the son (Mohammed) of the owner (Mohammed's Dad). This little store always had a crockpot of chopped BBQ that was amazing. Mohammed's Dad was a BBQ genius.
When I was growing up you couldn't find a gas station that had food. The larger ones might have windshield washer fluid, coolant and oil if you were lucky. I lived in the sticks though. Later on we had Food Bag and Dairy Mart with with hot dogs that had dried out weeks ago. I was raised to never eat at a gas station or strip club

We had a new Shell station open near my house about 2 years ago. This place is huge and more like a convenience store than a gas station with about a dozen gas pumps. The floors look like white marble and they are kept spotless. They have a nice deli with fresh fried chicken, hamburgers, hot dogs, pizza and lots of other stuff and it is always fresh and good. I don't think that they sell sushi. They do have fried catfish that is wonderful and you get enough for two in a fish box.
