DonM First I think that any design that uses the exact same head, with only loft changes, is fubar.
That's kind of what I liked about them, no change in head design that you can see. Unless they're weighted differently to effect flight but I doubt it. Your point makes sense as that's what I'm seeing, 2 clubs short, one reason being the old school lofts but the rest likely attributed to what you mentioned.
DonM I just bought the 11/13/15 XDS fairway woods from Hireko. I am going to be interested to see if they suffer the same basic problem from using the exact same head for a lot of different lofts.
I also tried some of those Heater hybrids where they use the same size head and same outcome, they're shorter than my irons, so you must be on to something. Do you think putting a longer shaft in the 5H would help? I'll probably try it for the Hell of it. But there's just a whole different feel to the 4H from the rest of the set. It just sounds and feels lively while the rest feel dead. These are the beauties😧I'm talking about.
