I have a stretching routine I do at home before I head to the course. I then repeat the stretching before we head to the first tee. Almost never hit balls before my round anymore. After developing elbow issues I had to reduce hitting balls.
I have a small mat that I swing on before I leave the house just to see where my swing bottom is that day. When I used to hit balls before my round I never had a consistent correlation. Anything was possible.
Meaning I could have a great range session hitting balls and it continued on the course. Or I had a great range session and it disappeared on the course.
Or I had a bad range session and it turned around on the course and I hit it good. Or I had bad range session and it stayed bad on the course. Or a mix of everything. lol
My mindset became just hit balls to warm up and that's it. Everyday is different and it's like opening a box of chocolates to see what I have that particular day. Love the anticipation of seeing what I have that day.
