  • Driver rotation...always come back to L4V

I always come back to my Cobra L4V 10.5 with stock rayon R flex shaft. I have a golfworks defiant/nvs, TM burner speed something???, and CT250D/ys7, sasquatch/dvs, and I enjoy hitting each one, except the TM. But the L4V is my straightest, longest, easiest to hit driver. It makes me wonder if I should try out a cobra F6. I've never used an adjustable driver before...mainly because the adjustments would probably drive me crazy. Every time I hit a ball off course I'll be adjusting something. Here's a shot in the dark. Has anybody hit both the L4V and F6?

No LV experience for me but I am a huge fan of Cobra drivers. I have a Max, an Amp Offset and a S3 Max.

LB should change his initial to LV.

    You're lucky.
Mist of my driver's wouldn't make it to the annual rotation.
I'm only putting in about 40 rounds a year now. And the number is shrinking.............

Release Actually I'm going to pull and sell the heads on all but the L4V and defiant. I'm not playing as much as you.

This question precisely reflects the problem we clubs hos have (I'm a minor league ho, but my status is growing rapidly). In fact, it defines the problem golfer's have: "I have this driver I hit really well and I love it. What should I replace it with?" Huh? (It also is the reason for high divorce rates, too, when you think about it. I have this partner that I really like and who is great, but.... That and the fact that our wives divorce us when we have too many drivers.)

I have a fly z+ on the way from Rock Bottom right now. Bio Cell was pretty good for me, but a bit too much spin. Hoping this one will be juuuuust right. 🙂

I had an L4V and many other Cobra drivers as well going back to the SS350. Don't have an F6, but do have the F7 along with an Amp Cell and Bio Cell. They're all good IMO. Cobra's hosel adapter isn't that complicated like some are. You just adjust it to the loft you want. It can be adjusted from 9 degrees to 12 degrees with two draw settings.

The draw settings are supposed to change the lie angle (more upright). Just remember when to increase loft you close the face slightly and when you reduce loft you open the face angle slightly. MyGolfSpy has said Cobra is only behind Ping when it comes to forgiveness.

FZ+ is the best I've ever hit. L4V and L5V not even close enough to mention. Sound and feel, totally different, hollow and loud pitch. I have an F6 to try after the new hip. I'm told F6 is FZ+ adjustability and performance with FZ forgiveness. Didn't care for the BC or BC+. I have a ZL Tour head I'd rate close to the FZ+. Rockbottom has the FZ+ NEW for $75 + ship, get one....NOW. I also liked the AMP Cell and ZL Encore, but not as much obviously.

On a side note, I have a BioCell orange 3 - 4 wood and 5-7 wood. They rock too.

Just got the F6, reg delivered. Won't be able to hit it for a few days. I like the feel as it feels a little head heavy. I have a TM burner speed something or another that feels so light I can't hit it worth a darn. Starting out at 10.5D.

LBlack14 Insane price. Sadly, only available with extra-stiff shaft now. All others sold out.

Although I suppose that's still a pretty good price for the head alone!

I've played the XS, not bad, don't let it scare ya. Free shipping now as well, but the price is $78.11 now.

LBlack14 just got one, had a 10% coupon from previous order and came to 70 and some change....you are a pusher, but in a good way!

Mine came on Thursday. Leave it to me to buy it right before the free shipping deal. 😬

JoeHatesSnow See the kind of person I've turned into.......$78 w/free shipping, and I'm not buying. And I really think Cobra makes the hottest drivers. But, I'm not buying. WTF have I become since FGI went under?

Think I'll order some new Ping irons.
              Maybe Callaway.
              And get fitted for them.

I'm good on irons. Last year I ran across a set of TM SLDR irons with KBS C Taper 120 instead of the normal stock 90. Best flight I've ever had with an iron so I'm not messing with it.

I elected not to buy because I already have 4 or 5 drivers and I'm not really sure which one works best. I'm confused enough already! Don't need any more confusion.

I've turned into that kind of person more recently too. I've had less ambition to experiment and tinker with clubs. Ordering the Cobra was mostly just because of cabin fever though I do have hopes it will dethrone the current king.

JoeHatesSnow I'm having total hip replacement on my right side March 7. Way it is now, I can't swing a club.

Yikes, that won't be fun but it will make the golf that much better once you're healed up! 🙂
