With a steel shaft probably a Nippon 950GH Neo I am assuming.

Agree Don flex designation is a slippery slope pun intended. ☺

I would go up a flex to meet the majority of the golf industry flex designation's. For a smooth swinging senior or lady Honma 63g "R" Vizard graphite is an "A" in most other shaft manufacturers. Buyer beware as in all golf equipment purchases.

As much luck/good fit I've had with JDM drivers (XXIO & Honma), I've had the opposite with JDM graphite irons. I hated my XXIO Prime irons pretty quickly. Bad fit. Too light.

On off the rack "fit" D-0 I'd probably hate them also. I didn't even hit them before I MoI heft matched them. I generally hate all swing weight heft match clubs off the rack. Pulled them apart right after I got them and reworked them. I also did the same with the driver, frwy and hybrid. I couldn't tell you what an off the rack Honma club really "feels" like. I may find the Vizard 63g "R" graphite may not be the best fit so ar they are good but I'll pull the shafts and install Nippon 950GH rather than move on. I know the XP-1 iron heads are primo as I have hit them now enough/yesterday at range and can see why mid-hdcp golfers love them.

No. There's a lot of used other models at GlobalGolf, but I have no idea how they would perform. The Vizard 43 shaft and that XP-1 head is poonful.

garyt1957 Yes, I call their "R" an "A" for myself. There is a lot of mid-flex in the Vizard shafts. Unlike many shafts on the market you can actually "feel" the shaft load. Myself I like that.

I got the XP-1 today. I have to give Global Golf kudos. Ordered on Thursday and got it on Saturday. Club arrived in great shape. All specs were as ordered. I did order a 12° and the head was marked HL so not sure if is 12 or higher but that is ok for me. All stickers on the shaft seem from the factory. The head was listed as being in excellent condition and it is. Not a scratch in the crown or face. There were a few minor scratches on the sole like it had been hit on a matt a few times. I had to look hard to find some feint ball dimple marks on the face so it looks like it had been hit a few times but not many. This is about as close as you can get to like new. I did waggle the club a few times and the R flex does seem very flexible. Can't wait to get this puppy to the range.

I went for the 10.5° in R flex but also -0.75". Head was in great shape, some ball marks on the face that cleaned easily. Crown is perfect and the sole had minor scratches.

Thought perhaps it might have been customized at the factory to keep the D-1 swingweight, but that doesn't seem to be the case. The sticker still reads 45.25" length and D-1 swingweight. I measured it to be 44.5" and C-8.

No worries though, I don't mind drivers that light and I can still feel the shaft load.

Ordered Friday AM (free economy shipping) and it was on my doorstep Sunday morning.
