I have Steve's OG XP-1 driver. For us curmudgeons who like feel and are more finesse players I'd say it's perfect. I have the 10.5 deg. with what Honma calls "R" 43g Vizard graphite. I am 86 - 90 mph, 1.4 sec. transition time smooth tempo player. I left it at square and can hit draws and fades with it no problem.
I was so impressed with it last year that I found both Honma XP-1 18 deg. fairway and a 25 deg. hybrid and just traded a set of irons for a 2020 set of Honma XP-1 5-11 irons.
I also have a 1993 Hiro Honma Extra 90 persimmon driver and 4 wood that is also a great persimmon. In fact anything Honma, I have touched is as good as it gets.
