potbunker No no worries, if I didn't love talking about this stuff I wouldn't belong to multiple golf forums lol
So unlike many I didn't do that well with a heavier putter head not counting the belly putter I experimented with when they were legal. I think my putter head is 360-365g now? I actually did quite well with a 340g head, but that's usually not even an option these days. I like the heavier head on short putts, but I struggle with speed on longer ones. Going from a 33" to 34" putter may have helped as well.
I do have a bit of a flatter lie on my putter. I know when it was 33" the lie was like 68* maybe? I don't know what it's at now. I have to watch my setup with that as I tend to start getting the toe up in the air and missing left. I think that's just me though as I have to watch my setup for every swing.
As far as putter heads I know I have a strong arc so I favor heads that toe hang. I have a Toulon 7S slant neck. I like the "fangs" look. There are some TM putters that toe hang I like as well. I hate the look of plumbers necks and I like a bit of a sightline. When this putter stops working I break out an old slant neck blade which seems to get me focusing again.
I think I lucked out a bit a the fitter I went to 6-7 years ago loves putter fittings and lessons more than anything. I feel like he helped me a lot with the putter and various drills. Unfortunately we have not done so well with the rest of my clubs, but that's not his fault.
