I feel like I need to say this as a true Independent who has voted for candidates in each major party in the past (goes to what @LBlack14 said in his post):
I don't see how anyone can say that President Trump is "doing what he said he was going to do". From all of his actions thus far, it seems he is mostly doing the opposite of what he said he would do in his campaign. Unlike many hyper-liberal or hyper-conservative postings, I will accompany my statements with facts ๐ .
I seem to remember Mr. Trump both saying he was going to "drain the swamp" of career politicians and special interests/Wall Street money, while at the same time pointing to Hilary's glaring ties to Goldman as proof she is corrupt. So far, the President has filled his cabinet with a bunch of career politicians (see Jeff Sessions and Rick Perry, among others) and Special Interests (he put the CEO of effin' Exxon as Secretary of State for "F's" sake). He even put an ex Goldman exec as he head of Treasury. Don't even try to justify Betsy DeVos. How is that "doing what he said" and "draining the swamp"?
He said he was going to take America back from the banks and give it back to the people. So far, he has signed an executive order rolling back banking regulations to the way they were before the 2008 collapse. Again, doing kind of the opposite of what he said he would do.
He is the first President in modern History to not show his tax returns. He flat out said he was not going to release them, ever. During his campaign and specifically during the first debate, he said he would release them after his "audit" was done.
I'm not attacking him as a person, or a politician. I will keep those opinions to myself. But, honestly, how is he "doing what he said he would do"? His actions thus far, as far as the actual facts show, are the definition of hypocrisy.
