pellmell ode Besides sheet lamination, and filament winding, there's the resin transfer molding process.
sdandrea1 pellmell Besides sheet lamination, and filament winding, there's the resin transfer molding process I knew that.........๐
Par4QC pellmell resin transfer molding process I have ruined 2 Kitchen Aid mixers and 3 ovens doing that. ๐
pike51 I think the Steadfast Jupiter 1 is filament wound. It's a decent shaft for the price and I have 2 friends who swear by them. I know I can see a weave pattern in mine. https://jupiter1plus.com/products/steadfast-jupiter-one-plus-driver-shaft
ode pike51 Steadfast Not a name I was expecting to see again. Hopefully these guys got their act together!
AdamMH pike51 did they ever fix the QC issues they were having? I heard a lot about improperly prepped tips, bad glue, undersized tip sections, etc. and not a lot about performance when they came out.
DonM There must be a filament wound factory in China that has produced the same shaft for different companies for 30 years. Those FGS might be the old Mercury shafts. Or not, just saying, there is always someone selling cheap wound shafts.
pike51 AdamMH I never had an issue with them. They aren't the prettiest, but they aren't the worst I've seen. I read lots of those issues. FWIW, I don't currently game one... but 2 of my buddies do and they love theirs.
