They are black with blue accent in the logo.

It's both. He founded OBAN and then VA Composites a few years later.

Update on the build. Finished these up last night. I built to 0.5" over standard and they all came out perfect @ D2 swingweight as I planned. Double checked the flo and they were still spot on. I hit a couple 7 irons into the dark abyss and they felt absolutely incredible. Can't wait to get these on the range (or maybe the course??) this afternoon.

iirc, Rapport did, or does, make the SS shafts. Whippy suckers. All wound.

Just used up my last old school one with the matte black paint and orange accents. It was 50ish+ gram R flex that went into my nephew's Xmas present, the HyWay I scored off here.

I'm not actively using them in my gamers right now but only because I sold the set with the Rapports in them like a good club ho. From a quality standpoint, the Core Blues are at the top with anything else and the fact that these are "built" to be geared towards club builders like us means the little extras (flow marks) put them over the top. I'll be ordering another set for my current games soon.

Just an fyi the maltby pro series will also be marked for optimal flo. The pro series will be firmer then the core blue.

I picked up the core blue driver, core white driver shaft, and core blue fairway to do my own testing.

pike51 I presently use the recoil 660s in my KE4max irons.
Just wondering how they might compare to the rapport blue in reg flex.
Also, regarding the Maltby pro series iron shafts, GW points out they play up to one flex stiffer than many other brands. Does this mean an r flex in the recoil 660s or rapport blue is similar to the Maltby pro series in senior (A) flex?
As you can tell, not a club builder. Appreciate any insights here.

Are they or is it just BS. I know the Wishon shafts also have the same markings as did the old AXE. They are flo'ing every shaft or are they just fudging? Anyone actually confirmed thru their own testing🤔

I’ve tested some of the maltby shafts. I couldn’t find much of a deviation in Flo no matter how I clamped it.

Just wondering why you guys call it a flo mark? It's the hardest spine (S1) so the label can be affixed up and if S1 is up then there would be less toe droop and yes it will flo there but it's really S1....yes? Unsure where the flo mark terminology came from unless Rapport is using that as I haven't used a Rapport shaft since Swing Science dumped them.

scotts33 they might be made at the same plant as Wishon. My understanding is that the Maltby shafts were/are and have the same.markings.on them (red line/white line). Given the Rapport is distributed by Maltby maybe they are made at same factory, etc.

ode Those marks you guys are referring to if sheet wrapped are the mandrel start of the sheet. That winds up the hardest/stiffest plane or S1. The other mark winds up being the weakest plane or NBP N1. You'll wind up floing best S1 up and NBP the weakest plane toward the target.

Nope used to be and still can be for some but majority that I know of are sheet wrapped.

Correct and also every good clubmaker should test for flo to make the club as neutral as it can be just take the whammies out. BTW, Rapport is just a name now it has little to do with what happened with Rapport 20+ years ago.
