DonM My daughter and I started the search about a year and a half ago. We came to a fork in the road where my g,g,g grandfather is MIA. He died at 32, but all records of his death are obscure, as are his (true) parents. We found incorrect input at that point as to how he died or where. We were going to do some courthouse searches out of state when Covid interrupted our plans. Thoughts are to still make the trips.
I will say here that when checking family lines on the internet, there is much wrong info being loaded into lines from various people. Some are not even related to those they are inserting family history for.
My daughter was able to hack into a few courthouse records along the way🤣, so we do have some really good info back to that dead-end in the early 1700's.
But it does appear we have a signer/co-writer of The Declaration in the family. 😉
