Wow, that was a big-time clutch shot! Congratulations SDS
March Madness?
I was rooting for FAU. My stream failed with 47 seconds left sl I didn't get to see how it ended.
FAU ended up losing on a buzzer beater, but they actually lost the game over the last ten minutes or so by giving up so many dammed offensive rebounds. Not to mention pretty much every loose ball.
I don't think either of these teams can beat either of the other teams. Really hoping for a Miami win, though.
Watched the last 5 mins and it was sloppy as hell, but exciting.....good poise by that SD St. player to know the clock and get a good look! Gotta feel for Fla Atlantic....3 fantom fouls in that timeframe which were all bad calls! Ballsy coaching move to let it play out by SD St.
I think SD St smothers UConn but gets outgunned by Miami.
UnholyDefenestrator78 I hope you are right.
Who watched the women's final? LSU was just too big for Iowa. And that Carson girl for LSU! 21 points without a miss in the fist half, off the bench, wow. Morris was super tough, too. Clark and Sononu (sp) getting in foul trouble sealed it for LSU. Some really bad officiating all around.
Yeah officiating was def bad, lots of ticky tack stuff that should not have been called. LSU played out of their head in q2 making most everything. That was the difference. Iowa never got back in the game (maybe 8 was the closest could've been 6). LSU out rebounded them, got to the loose balls quicker and overall Iowa had trouble dealing with LSU's athleticism/quickness.
The one girl didn't hold back in taunting Clark glaring at her and pointing at her ring finger. That was a bit much. Clark didn't seem to respond.
LSU played a helluva game! How often does it happen that a team beats a juggernaut and then gets beat the following game......hard to keep up that level of play!
Looks like in an elite 8 game vs. Louisville.

ode yea, that Angel Reese is a jerk. She made the " little " gesture after making a basket inside. So weak. Also I don't think LSU went through the handshake line, sad. But the coach should have got them and forced them to do it, so that's as much on her. One thing I like about the women is there's less posing and showing off, but it's still there
The NCAA should be ashamed that that's the best referees they gave them, because that's not the best they had to offer, we all know that. Horrible.

It's been a great tournament so far. I'm hoping for a good and competitive final game. However, I feel like UConn will readily handle SDSt. They've dominated in everyone of their games.

I hope so! I'm rooting for them as they are from my state and I spent 2 years at the Storrs campus. As long as they keep playing hard they'll win. Whenever they take their foot off the gas they seem to get sloppy with the ball. I think it took them over half the regular season to realize that they are strong, fast and deep enough to go full tilt the whole game.
garyt1957 it was definitely excessive by that LSU player, she repeatedly did the face thing and then the ring thing. And it was not as if she was celebrating with her team and doing that it was directed right at her multiple times. Her teammate also called her out after the game to give LSU some respect....LOL .... It appears these girls had a chip on their shoulder re: Clark.....I would take as a compliment if I were her, that they are that bent on trying to show her up like that.
Iowa is a helluva team and LSU took em to the wood shed! Let the results speak for themself and enjoy the victory!

LMAO, one player does the Cena and it's classless and poor sportspersonship, the other does it and it's all in good fun and games and nobody bats an eyelash. What is different between the two players? Hmmm....
I'd say that you can't make this up but.......... well..........
I wanted to know what was aimed at who. Carry on.
In both instances, a Cena gesture was made towards a player on the opposing team as the opposing team was getting the shit kicked out of them.
UConn with an epic run. They destroyed the field!
UnholyDefenestrator78 Not exactly true. In the case of the LSU player, it happened after the game was over.
I don't have that much of a problem with it from either player. I did some trash talking when I played basketball, too. But the when you have just won the national championship, it makes more sense to celebrate your victory with your teammates than to waste time trying to get back at somebody that you just showed up. IMO. And if we are going to keep doing handshake lines, everybody should do it. Or, get rid of them altogether if people don't want to do it. But if you are doing it, do it. The game is over, anyway. The outcome has already been determined.

I agree. I actually think handshake lines are kind of stupid, but if they're done and considered tradition do it. It should be easy if you won. I'd think there'd be some satisfaction in having the people who you just vanquished have to shake your hand. Iowa just lost a tough game and they did it. I blame the coach, get your players in that line.
And yes the gesture was no where near the same. Reese followed Clark around the court continually doing the gesture to make sure she saw it as opposed to a brief moment in the heat of the game. I'm not a fan of it either way but they are definitely not the same. Not a fan of taunting by anybody.
I don't mind showing emotion, like the LSU girl who was screaming after hitting a big 3 at one point. She was just celebrating a big shot, and it wasn't aimed at anybody.
ode UConn with an epic run. They destroyed the field!
Yes, congrats to them! I at least had a little bit more entertainment when SDSU closed the gap to six. They didn't quit and had a great season in their own right.

Hear hear!

We normally do handshakes in beer league hockey. I've seen players skip them. I never did, but considered it, and there may have been a hand or two that got "missed". One I considered skipping was after an 11-1 loss. Near the end of the game one of their hot shots was trying to go end to end and score, leading 11-1. I caught up and hacked the shit out of him. I was going to skip out, but went through the handshakes. Two of his teammates actually thanked me for hacking him. Instead of going to the locker room and stewing on it, the handshakes remind me that it's just a game.
