rsvman2 I don't have that much of a problem with it from either player. I did some trash talking when I played basketball, too. But the when you have just won the national championship, it makes more sense to celebrate your victory with your teammates than to waste time trying to get back at somebody that you just showed up. IMO. And if we are going to keep doing handshake lines, everybody should do it. Or, get rid of them altogether if people don't want to do it. But if you are doing it, do it. The game is over, anyway. The outcome has already been determined.
I agree. I actually think handshake lines are kind of stupid, but if they're done and considered tradition do it. It should be easy if you won. I'd think there'd be some satisfaction in having the people who you just vanquished have to shake your hand. Iowa just lost a tough game and they did it. I blame the coach, get your players in that line.
And yes the gesture was no where near the same. Reese followed Clark around the court continually doing the gesture to make sure she saw it as opposed to a brief moment in the heat of the game. I'm not a fan of it either way but they are definitely not the same. Not a fan of taunting by anybody.
I don't mind showing emotion, like the LSU girl who was screaming after hitting a big 3 at one point. She was just celebrating a big shot, and it wasn't aimed at anybody.
