I'll hang around as long as the lights are on I guess.

Now that I don't play golf anymore, I feel better when I brag about how good I used to be.

Enjoy your vacation...And you're not leaving - use the ignore button...I turned it off but was right back on a day later and will remain on...Much nicer...

You guys talk about the ā€œignoreā€ button…. Use it if someone gets under your skin and get on with life here. The function is there for a reason. You guys keep arguing with members you hate… why??? You don’t have to.

I've read some of UD's posts and he's pretty good (at times) at pushing peoples buttons
and saying things that he probably would never say to someone 'face to face'.
He's quickly figured out who he can get a rise out of and who gets pissed off about his comments fairly easily.
Internet know-it-alls, cyber bully's, meme masters, trolls, whatever you want to label them as are EVERYWHERE!
They serve one purpose, to exploit their own convoluted (at times) agendas, to judge others who might not agree
with their beliefs, concepts, notions etc.,he thinks he's way smarter, craftier, funnier than any of us! IMO

To deal with someone like that, sure you can use the 'ignore ' function, OR just DON'T RESPOND TO ANY OF HIS POSTS!
I think it'd be kind of funny to have him start one his (sometimes thought provoking) threads, and HE's the only one
who repeatedly responds to it......hell in his mind he doesn't need us anymore than we need him!šŸ˜‰

Bottom line (which I never thought I'd get too) , if someone leaves GB because of his posts....HE WINS!
Don't give him the satisfaction or the attention he seems to crave, as he sits at his lonely little keyboard,
where he THINKS he's somewhat in control of this golf message board known as GOLFBUZZ.
OOOOOPS, I think I just did all that! LMAO

Put him on ignore. It’s a 95% solution but that’s what we have.

    DonM

I don't get why some of the people who complain about him ... also engage him? There is nothing that anyone can say that will dissuade him. Kindness won't do it. logic won't do it. Insults won't do it either.

I don't believe we can all put him on ignore (whether button or not). Either jrock takes pity on us, or we move to other, greener pastures. In theory ignoring should work - but, I've never seen it work (but would love to)! There are just too many kind people willing to give a troll their second chance, then a third, and a forth etc ... as he modifies his behavior (reeling in, then giving slack), or else they think they can win an insult war with him - while just participating in it makes him the winner.

Stu1961 don't get why some of the people who complain about him ... also engage him?

      100% correct… that’s what I don’t understand either. Apparently these guys aren’t marriedšŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚
