I found that MacGregor sells heads only, in drivers. So, like a good component nut I got one in a couple weeks ago.
Non-adjustable, which I like and the face sits square; not the least bit open. Not a super wide body, something similar to the Callaway Mavrik (not the Max) so it's nice to look down on. Face height/shape is also similar the Mavrik. The color is all black with only the lettering having color, silver.
For me, a mid trajectory launch. Sound is really nice like a baseball from a wooden bat, with that same same crushed feel.
And it is as long/forgiving as anything you might find today. I'm guessing a bit on the forgiving part though. Was too easy to hit center every time; but that maybe just my setup/build.
$99, head only. I really doubt that can be beat.
