propman I agree but oem forged set is pushing $1,500 while gw is $800. Both too high, imo.
Of course. Have we forgotten that everyone is now making a shit ton more money than they were just 2 years ago? I do mean a shit ton, more! And more people are playing golf again.
We are being gouged for that money now, for higher profits. Maybe not so much by component companies, but certainly by the OEMs. And they can do it, and should. I would, you would. It's plain old good business sense. Demand = $$, whether costs rise or not. Need only to look at the vehicle market to see this. And housing was there also.
Yes, production costs may have gone up, or esp. shipping costs, but labor costs in the country these parts come from did not go up like U.S. income did. Metals costs have gone up, but hell, it comes (mainly) from the country where the golf equip. comes from. Double dip/gouge.
We got choices still, OEM or components.
But when OEMs start dropping prices, components will cease to exist. jmo
