That's a good thing for sure. Your only dropping $50 on a club fully built so if you don't like it/it doesn't work you can just stick it in the corner or give it away and not worry about it.
A new SM9 wedge will run you $180 plus any applicable taxes, mind you can probably get $140/$150 for it if it doesn't work out.
I personally am very picky and struggle with getting the right wedges.....pw/aw I am fine but takes me a lot of time to find the right SW and LW. Also with varying turf conditions up here ( wet and soft in spring and Fall versus hard and firm in summer) typically need to have a stable wedges with differing bounce/sole widths. Add in that I prefer Xstiff shafts in my wedges to control spin and trajectory and most often i am searching for unicorns.
Thankfully working a few days in the club backshop a couple days we get lots of wedges left behind each week so I can fondle them and even take them out to try if they've been there more than a week.
